2023 has been challenging, but I have learned a lot. Don’t get me wrong, some lessons I would have preferred not to learn at the time. But…
✨I have reforged some relationships and they are better for it.
✨I have maintained some boundaries and I am better for it.
✨I have stood my ground when I’ve needed to (most of the time).
✨I have fiercely advocated for myself, my son and my husband at different points in the year (although I would have preferred not to have had to).
✨I have used the freezer spell more this year than I ever have in my life before 😂
✨I have successfully crowdfunded and published my first solo deck (illustrated by the wonderful Joanna Nelson)
✨I have learned again how strong I am.
✨I have learned how I can rebuild and reforge my life (pretty much).
✨I have swapped from a sedentary office job to a very physical job in retail (and consequently have lost about 20 pounds and boosted my fitness levels and core strength).
✨I have survived my first Christmas and New Year working in retail (and impressed them so much in my first week they decided to keep me and give me more responsibility).
✨I have been utterly blessed in my friendships.
✨I have been kept sane by some of the most supportive, lovely people in the world.
✨I have created my own website (twice).
✨I have been blessed with client readings and the expansion of my business.
✨I have undertaken and completed some wonderful courses.
I am spending NYE with family and it is awesome (world war 3 nearly broke out over Uno but oh well).
2024 starts with me working tomorrow…and while working New Year’s Day may not be everyone’s ideal, I think starting the year with hard work, exercise and knowing I am bringing abundance to my life is possibly THE best way to start. It continues with a mix of sadness (family funeral), relaxing (spa day), health stuff (my annual breast cancer checks) and positivity (as I take my son to DragCon UK).
Let’s do this, and make 2024 a wonderful year!
